The final character who will be present in the opening sequence of my film is my villain. I intentionally did not give this character a name in order to increase overall suspension and tension whenever they are mentioned throughout the film. I want this character to be as mysterious and unknown as possible to make the plot twists and scares unpredictable which will keep the audience on the edge of their seat.
For the villains physical appearance, they should be tall and thin while dressed in dark clothing without their facial features being visible. This creates a shadow complex around the character and associates them with darkness and fear. The villain should also walk and move in an eery and more fast-paced way in order to build tension and create quick scare opportunities to frighten the audience.
Some other qualities this person will posses is not speaking and being very cunning. When the villain decides to strike or attack the group of friends, it will be at a random and unexpected time to represent him as crafty and able to sneak around. This characters form will be taken as a psychotic and obsessed killer instead of a tragic anti-hero where we never learn the reality of their motive or true intentions for murdering the teenagers.
A character who deeply influenced the creation of my villain is Ghostface from the well known "Scream" franchise. He is an insane and murderous stalker who kills person after person throughout many movies in brutal ways and if he did not kill them, he left them mentally scared for the rest of their lives. I took inspiration from his dark, foreboding physical appearance and his overall demeanor to help create the vision I have not only for my villain but my entire film project.
